Autobiography : Spirituality, Psychology
Excerpts from Intelligence Beyond Thought
From Chapter 1. ‘The Upheaval’
After all this deep churning and pondering, I decided to leave the house, to go away and be free from family attachments and social compulsions. I had no clear idea about the next step or what I would do. The strong urge to end this current pattern of existence became my main focus. If I were to be honest with my understanding and yearnings, now was the right time to act upon them. This was my chance for the discovery of life, the discovery of something more profound but as yet unknown!
From Chapter 7. ‘The Hunter Hunted Down’
The thought also came that maybe it was a female with baby rabbits, out looking for food to feed them. Was this a sane act on my part to destroy this animal living in freedom in its forest? Something in my head snapped. For a short time I stood paralyzed and half dazed. In that moment I was free of the gun culture, the arrogance, the aggressive hunter-mind. I felt repentant and doubted my right to ‘murder’ this innocent animal.
From Chapter 12. ‘Voyage’
Then, around midnight, my telephone rang. I couldn't imagine a call at that hour, except in a real emergency! To get to the telephone I had to walk ten feet, which required an act of supreme determination. It was the ship’s captain calling, and he said to me very seriously, "Dada, the situation is really very bad, and we have no way of knowing if or when we will be able to come out of the storm. We are trying our best, but you must help us. Dada, it is time for you to pray for all of us."
From Chapter 26. ‘Seekers’ Doubts’
Q. What is the place of sex in a seeker’s life?
A. Sex is a very potent energy-source, which could be harnessed fruitfully by the seeker. However, it is the mind that mostly uses up all this energy for carnal pleasures. Sex is generally perceived as a pleasurable experience because it stimulates, and excites. However, it actually shocks the nervous system.
Other books by Dada:
Beyond the Mind
This book offers Dada’s insights into the deeper significance of Life. It is a collection of dialogues with a seeker, a researcher, an artist, a psychotherapist, a woman, a family man, a wealthy man and a meditator. It affirms that through watchful attention the mind’s self-centered activity can get converted into impersonal intelligence revealing the beauty and mystery of a new-dimensional existence.

Excerpt:
Q. Leah: So you think the feeling of feminine emotionality may not necessarily be a hindrance to spiritual growth?
A. Dada: Surely it is not. This so called female aspect, which is a highly sensitive energy, may be of great assistance in the discovery of truth. Female sensitivity – the tenderness and affection without any attachment – will take one to the greatest height of creativity. Divinity or spirituality is the ultimate height of pure creative sensitivity.
Towards the Unknown
This book offers Dada’s reflections on Life, in verse form. Based on Dada’s talks in various places, it urges seekers to take a leap into the unknown by stepping out of the mind-field. It stresses the need to work upon the mind, to dissolve it through simplicity, humility and heightened sensitivity, so that one can catch the whisper of intelligence beyond thought.

Intuitive Intelligence
This is a uniquely original and creative photo-book.
